Hole in the Wall
Hail to the Hive!
The tall red pillar box type post box is a familiar sight in the UK and a somewhat iconic symbol of Britishness but when out and about in more rural areas you often stumble across these cute hole in the wall style ones.
And his one isn’t st into a boring old brick wall either but a proper oldy worldy stone wall with moss and greenery growing from the crevices.
I was in a photo mood on this particular day and it caught my attention but onc I was home sifting through the days catch of photo shots I wasn’t quite sure what to do with these pics.
So after a few beers and a few experiments I decided that I quite liked these shots in all their guises.
I have to say that as much as a black and white photo fan as I am the colour and colour splash ones work the best for me this time which is odd as I had bkack and white in mind as I took them. I thiught the textures would work well but on second glance, the other formats edge it for me.
I’d be interested to hear what y’all think. Colour, black and white or colour splash?
Just goes to,show that after the fact an image can surprise you after a bit of manipulation.
I do love these little gems in rural areas though. Often overlooked every day things that most people familiar tomthem barely notice and yet they have so much character.
