Hail to the Hive!

As much as I am a huuuuge fan of #monochrome and the Black and White community on here rocks, I love this community as it means I don’t have the dilemma of using one or the other when it comes to those shots that look pretty awesome in both colour and black and white. Use em both. Simple! And this community fills that void nicely.

This shot is a case in point as with the rasta colours , how can you not put them on show in this sea side setting. I mean they really pop! The whole Jamaican / rasta vibe in a Caribbean setting just all comes together.But also this same image in Black and white is just as striking for different reasons.

I m also quite fond of using colour splash as it kind throws both mediums together, so to speak. So when I do post in the colour/ black and white community, I tend to throw the third image in as well. This creates an entirely different vibe and to be honest all three really work for me. I’d be interested to hear which you all prefer out of the 3 of them. Please don’t be shy, leave a message 😃.

I spotted this boat on my morning walk into Negril to use the ATM and immediately knew what I wanted to do with it. Luckily as it was very early in the morning there wasn’t anyone about. Just me and the boat 🚤.
