Telling Eyes

oddcover.jpg

Brazened by pity, cowering with confidence. If you act tough enough, can you be convincing? Hidden in the eyes are the reality of your insecurity. That thin veil of hair can't shelter the world from your own self-doubt. Your weakness shines through cracks in the mortar of your brick wall disguise. Eons of pressure never crumbled a fate so quickly.

I can try to direct you to the foundation that most stand upon, but does this really satisfy? Are you content in treading the path so deep with ruts that it could never again be concealed? Or does the risk of being lost, of needing to forage and forge your own way. Does this appeal to your need for discovery? There is no path to follow for this end.

In the end, the deepest truth remains that joy should always be chased. If there is no time to savor the very essence of life, then why bother keeping time at all? To be a slave to routine and schedule is to deny desire of exploration. Don't be afraid to get a few scratches while sliding through the brush; the scars reveal a life lived to the fullest!
