es begann alles am 4. Juni 2020, als ich meinen „Introduction Post“ schrieb und anfing auf HIVE zu bloggen. Als ich anfing, meine ersten 67 Dollar hier zu „verdienen“. Bei mir gilt immer noch 50:50 bei der Auszahlung. Es war der Anfang vom Anfang und immer noch bin ich hier, schreibe und philosophiere über mein Leben. Ich bin leidenschaftlicher Blogger und liebe HIVE ...

Zu meinem 6. Geburtstag habe ich mir etwas ganz Besonderes einfallen lassen.

„Hive account@schmidi im Interview“: Ich bat die Community, mir Fragen zuzuschicken, um diese dann schriftlich zu beantworten. Hive account@stayoutoftherz war so nett, hat sich hierfür zur Verfügung gestellt und mir einige Fragen geschickt, auf die ich anbei eingehen werde.

Nun, es war eigentlich „Zufall“ – und nachdem es im Leben keine Zufälle gibt, war es wohl Bestimmung. Ich traf über „Bumble Bizz“, einer Business-Dating-App, Hive account@manncpt, der mir über den Dächern von Wien im 7. Wiener Gemeindebezirk anfing von HIVE zu erzählen.

Ich war so erstaunt, dass ich nachfragte: „Moment einmal, ich kann hier meinen Content, den ich für meine Community auf Facebook und Instagram sowieso mache, posten und verdiene damit Geld?“

Hive account@manncpt sagte: „Ja!“

Ich war daraufhin neugierig und begann, Details zu erfragen. Er zeigte mir in „Follow-up-Meetings“, wie alles funktioniert, und erstellte mit mir gemeinsam meinen ersten Blogpost, der dann genau vor 6 Jahren online ging.

Als ich anfing, meine ersten Dollar zu verdienen, war ich wirklich erstaunt. Ja, sogar verwundert, weil mir bis heute noch nicht so ganz 100-prozentig klar ist, woher das Geld kommt bzw. wie viele HIVE im Umfeld sind usw.

Anfangs dachte ich mir, dass ich hier meinen Content zusätzlich teilen kann und somit mehr Reichweite und definitiv auch eine andere Community bekomme. Ich dachte, ich hole hier noch mehr Menschen ab ...

Es war nicht unbedingt das Geld, was mich in erster Linie antrieb, sondern auch der Spaß an der Sache. Vorerst wollte ich, wie oben geschrieben, meine „Mindsetpostings“ eins zu eins teilen, bis ich dahinterkam, dass die Community hier ein wenig anders tickt.

In erster Linie verwende ich HIVE, um über mein Leben, meine Learnings und über mein Online-Business zu berichten. Über Themen, die mich bewegen und die ich liebend gerne öffentlich teile. Achtung: Keine Finanzberatung oder irgendwelche Garantien! Das, was ich hier und auf anderen sozialen Kanälen teile, bin ich, das ist mein Leben und das muss keiner nachmachen. Ganz im Gegenteil: Ich schreibe auch hier auf HIVE immer gerne über die Eigenverantwortung bei Investments.

Als Vorbild dient mir hier ein wenig mein Lieblingsautor John Strelecky, der in seinen Büchern über seine Weisheiten und Learnings spricht.

Ich nutze HIVE also, um meinen „Lifestyle“ zu zeigen, um mit Spaß an der Sache zu bloggen und um mir nebenbei auch ein kleines Portfolio aufzubauen. Geld ist immer noch Geld und wer weiß, wohin das Ganze hier noch führt.

Arbeit, Lernen und Spaß!

Darüber hinaus eine Möglichkeit im Leben, sich Step by Step nebenbei etwas aufzubauen, in die Welt der Cryptos einzutauchen und viel zu lernen. Für mich ist HIVE jedoch auch Community – und das sollte immer im Vordergrund stehen. Der Spaß an der Sache, neue Menschen kennenzulernen, zu wachsen und sich untereinander zu supporten.

Es ist aber auch Arbeit, denn eine Community aufzubauen und zu pflegen, macht sich nicht von allein. Es macht zwar Spaß, aber die Meetups kommen auch nicht von ungefähr und der Content darf schließlich auch produziert werden.

Posten und Geld verdienen! Das Verrückte an HIVE ist, dass du dir hier nebenbei etwas aufbauen kannst, ohne selbst wirklich Geld in die Hand zu nehmen. Natürlich macht es Sinn, etwas zu investieren, jedoch ist es absolut nicht notwendig.

Darüber hinaus liebe ich den Austausch mit Crypto- / HIVE-Experten, um selbst zu lernen bzw. um neue Menschen kennenzulernen. Es ist die internationale Community, die es für mich besonders macht.

– Was sind die Hauptprobleme / was sollte Hive besser machen?

Das ist ein sehr guter Punkt, über den ich stundenlang schreiben und diskutieren könnte. Hier will ich auch ein wenig ausholen, denn der Punkt ist wichtig. Danke Hive account@stayoutoftherz, dass du das ansprichst und mir diese Frage stellst. Gleich vorweg: Es ist nicht alles schlecht, was HIVE so bietet, und dennoch könnte man so einiges „besser“ machen.

Was ich bei HIVE extrem vermisse, ist die Struktur hinter dem Ganzen. Wir haben coole Communitys, viele nette Menschen, allerdings kann und darf aufgrund der Open-Source-Geschichte jeder machen, was er will. Es fehlt die klare „Linie“ bei HIVE.

Wir haben zig teils sehr gute Projekte, die ich selbst kaum kenne und bei denen ich nicht einmal genau weiß, wo ich die Infos dafür herbekomme.

Dann fehlt das Marketing komplett. HIVE ist genau genommen nichts anderes als ein Netzwerk, und ohne neue Kunden, Blogger, Investoren oder Zocker wird HIVE nicht wachsen. Auch wenn viele das Open-Source-Konzept und das Unbekannte in der Kryptowelt feiern: Ohne die genannten Personen bleiben wir eine Nische und der Kurs bleibt unten.

Wir sponsern ein Rennauto und haben angeblich eine Marketing-Verantwortliche, die sich 90.000 HBD für ihre Arbeit auszahlen lässt – wo ich der Meinung bin, dass wir mit unseren Meetups zeitweise besseres Marketing machen, als es je irgendwo anders passiert ist.

Was HIVE besser machen könnte: Den Auftritt nach außen. Webinare, Präsentationen, Erklärvideos über HIVE, Promotion-Material ... Es fehlt die Struktur, der einheitliche Auftritt nach außen und die klaren Informationsquellen. Nicht, dass es das teilweise nicht gibt, aber es ist meistens unauffindbar.

Was ich auch feiern würde, wäre Kräfte zu bündeln: Ein gutes Onboarding-System, bei dem auch ein Anreiz da ist, HIVE weiterzuempfehlen. Affiliate-Marketing nennt man das gerne ... Definitiv aber Videos über den Mehrwert von HIVE und dem System dahinter.

– Was würdest Du einem Hive-Neuling empfehlen – Do's und Don'ts?

Gute Frage! Bleib dran, zieh es durch und hab Spaß dabei. Im Detail würde ich raten, HIVE-Events zu besuchen, mit Spaß an der Sache dranzubleiben und auf die Meetups zu kommen.

Do's:

• Machen statt lassen
• Einfach einmal anfangen
• Nebenbei lernen und sich reinlesen
• Jeden Tag aktiv sein (oder zumindest einmal die Woche)
• Den einen oder anderen Blogpost lesen und kommentieren
• Upvotes geben und immer wieder reinschauen
• Sich auf ein Thema spezialisieren
• Aktiv bloggen
• Eine Community aufbauen, um Reichweite und Upvotes zu bekommen
• Guten Content produzieren
• Freundlich, sachlich und höflich bleiben
• Weniger ist oft mehr: Lieber einen Post weniger, dafür richtig guten Content
• Sich aktiv in die Community mit einbinden
• Meetups und HIVE-Events besuchen

Don'ts:

• Nur ein Foto jeden Tag hochladen und glauben, damit reich zu werden
• Personen öffentlich beleidigen
• Grundlos den Downvote-Button drücken
• Glauben, durch Nichtstun reich zu werden
• Alles auf eine Karte setzen

– Würdest Du etwas anders machen, wenn Du jetzt neu auf Hive landen würdest?

Eine sehr interessante Frage, die ich eigentlich nicht wirklich beantworten kann. Wenn mir HIVE gut und schmackhaft verkauft wird, dann würde ich mit dem heutigen Wissen sicher gleich auch HIVE kaufen. Also mit dem Stand der Dinge von heute würde ich womöglich mehr investieren oder eben einfach anfangen zu bloggen.

Was ich mit Sicherheit nicht mehr machen würde: 30 Euro an Hive account@manncpt bezahlen. Ich bin zwar immer noch sehr dankbar, dass er mir das gezeigt hat, jedoch hat er sich da (und bei einer anderen Geschichte) sehr weit aus dem Fenster gelehnt, woraufhin ich dann auch den Kontakt abgebrochen habe. Eine Entschuldigung für seine Aussagen kam bis heute nicht wirklich bei mir an.

Ich bin ihm aber nicht böse, denn ich bin immer noch nach 6 Jahren hier und dafür bin ich sehr dankbar. Es war eine der besten Entscheidungen meines Lebens und ganz ehrlich: Ich bin wirklich dankbar, hier sein zu dürfen.

Lange habe ich überlegt, welche Highlights ich zum 6-jährigen Jubiläum präsentiere, bis ich dann für mich daraufkam, dass mein ganzer Blog ein Highlight ist. Die ganzen 6 Jahre waren ein Highlight, für das ich liebend gerne auch Danke sagen bzw. schreiben will.

In erster Linie habe ich meinen HIVE-Verdienst Hive account@balte zu verdanken und ich wünsche mir, dass ich diesen Menschen einmal persönlich kennenlerne. Ganz ehrlich, er hat verstanden, was ich mache und warum ich es mache. Bitte richtig verstehen: Ich verlange von niemandem 100 %, geschweige denn, dass mein Content bei jedem ankommt. Er war es, der meine Beiträge nie unter 50 % upgevotet hat. Wenn Hive account@balte zugeschlug, war der Verdienst weit höher. Jedoch auch bei anderen – und er war es, der viele aus der DACH-Community geschickt supportet hat. DANKE! Und er tut es heute noch ...

Weiteres möchte ich mich bei Hive account@solymi und Hive account@vikisecrets für die „Learnings“ bedanken. Sie waren es primär, von denen ich mein HIVE-Wissen habe. Sie waren es, die mir immer wieder coole Tipps gaben. Jedoch auch die HIVE-Community in Graz – allen voran Hive account@reiseamateur – sorgte für viel Aufsehen, für coole Meetups und Learnings. Unseren Drohnenexperten Hive account@richie8012 habe ich damals in Graz kennenlernen dürfen. Er drehte das Video von Hive account@sandra-on-tour auf Zypern.

Graz, ich komme sicher wieder, auch wenn ich nicht bei jedem Meetup dabei sein werde. Aber da ist ja noch „mein“ Chica-Club, den ich besuche und aufbaue.

Bedanken möchte ich mich auch bei Hive account@stayoutoftherz und Hive account@pantha.rhei, die brav bei den Meetups die Stellung halten. Gerade auch in diesen Zeiten, wo wir weniger Besucher haben, kommen sie immer wieder brav und mitorganisieren. Hive account@stayoutoftherz ist auf alle Fälle federführend der Mensch, der dafür verantwortlich ist, dass wir uns fast jeden Monat beim „Wiener HIVE-Stammtisch“ treffen.

Unsere Stammtische sind weit über die Grenzen bekannt und wohl die am längsten regelmäßig stattfindenden Meetups bei HIVE. Hier spielt auch Hive account@condeas immer wieder eine wichtige Rolle, denn er ist es, der als einziger (!) unsere Stammtische fördert und mit 100 Hivepower pusht.

Bedanken möchte ich mich natürlich auch bei der restlichen Community aus Wien: Hive account@mammasitta, Hive account@cpufronz, Hive account@sofibofi, Hive account@nadinee, Hive account@manncpt ... ganz ehrlich, es waren so viele, dass ich mir all die Usernamen nicht gemerkt habe. Da merkt man, wer regelmäßig am Start war und ist ...

Bedanken und in Ehren halten möchte ich unseren HIVE-Guru, der mit über 80 Jahren immer noch aktiv ist und unsere Meetups regelmäßig besucht: Danke Hive account@thermoplastic!

For my 6th anniversary, I came up with something very special.

"Hive account@schmidi in the Interview": I asked the community to send me questions so I could answer them in writing. Hive account@stayoutoftherz was kind enough to step up and send me a few questions, which I will address below.

- How did you come across Hive?

Well, it was actually a "coincidence" – and since there are no coincidences in life, it was probably destiny. Through "Bumble Bizz", a business dating app, I met Hive account@manncpt, who started telling me about HIVE high above the roofs of Vienna in the 7th district.

I was so amazed that I asked: "Wait a minute, I can post the content here that I’m making for my community on Facebook and Instagram anyway, and actually earn money with it?"

Hive account@manncpt said: "Yes!"

Curiosity got the better of me, and I started asking for details. In follow-up meetings, he showed me how everything works and together we created my very first blog post, which went online exactly 6 years ago.

- What do you use it for?

When I started earning my first dollars, I was truly amazed. Even baffled, because to this day, it's still not 100% clear to me where the money comes from or how many HIVE are circulating in the ecosystem, etc.

In the beginning, I thought I could just cross-share my content here to get more reach and definitely connect with a different community. I thought I could onboard even more people ...

It wasn't necessarily the money that drove me first and foremost, but also the fun of it. At first, as I wrote above, I wanted to copy-paste my "mindset posts" one-to-one, until I realized that the community here ticks a little differently.

Mainly, I use HIVE to report on my life, my learnings, and my online business. Topics that move me and that I love to share publicly. Word of caution: This is not financial advice or any kind of guarantee! What I share here and on other social channels is just me, it's my life, and nobody has to copy it. On the contrary, I always love to write about personal responsibility when it comes to investments, also here on HIVE.

My inspiration here is a bit like my favorite author John Strelecky, who talks about his wisdom and learnings in his books.

So, I use HIVE to show my "lifestyle", to blog just for the fun of it, and to build up a small portfolio on the side. Money is still money, and who knows where this whole journey will lead.

- What is Hive to you?

Work, learning, and fun!

Beyond that, it's an opportunity in life to build something up step-by-step on the side. To dive into the world of cryptos and learn a massive amount. For me, however, HIVE is also about community – and that should always be at the forefront. The fun of it, meeting new people, growing, and supporting each other.

But it’s also work, because building and maintaining a community doesn't happen by itself. It's fun, sure, but the meetups don't organize themselves, and the content still needs to be produced.

- What makes Hive special to you?

Posting and earning money! The crazy thing about HIVE is that you can build something up on the side without actually putting any money on the table. Of course, investing makes sense, but it's absolutely not necessary.

Furthermore, I love exchanging ideas with crypto and HIVE experts to learn myself and to meet new people. It’s the international community that makes it special for me.

- What are the main issues / what should Hive do better?

That’s an excellent point that I could write and talk about for hours. I want to elaborate a bit here because this point is vital. Thanks, Hive account@stayoutoftherz, for bringing this up and asking me this question. Right off the bat: Not everything is bad about what HIVE offers, but there is definitely room for improvement.

What I miss massively on HIVE is the structure behind it all. We have cool communities, many nice people, but due to the open-source nature, anyone can do whatever they want. HIVE is missing a clear "red thread" or direction.

We have tons of partly brilliant projects that I barely know about myself, and I don't even know exactly where to find the info on them.

Then, the marketing is completely non-existent. Strictly speaking, HIVE is nothing more than a network, and without new customers, bloggers, investors, or gamers, HIVE won't grow. Even if many people celebrate the open-source concept and the "underground" vibe in the crypto world: without the aforementioned people, we remain a niche and the price stays down.

We sponsor a race car and allegedly have a marketing manager drawing a 90,000 HBD payout for her work – where I strongly believe that we, with our local meetups, sometimes do better marketing than has ever happened anywhere else.

What HIVE could do better: The outward presentation. Webinars, presentations, explainer videos about HIVE, promotional material ... The structure, the uniform public image, and clear information sources are missing. It’s not that it doesn't exist at all, but it’s usually impossible to find.

What I would also love to see is a pooling of forces: A solid onboarding system where there is an incentive to recommend HIVE to others. People like to call it affiliate marketing ... But definitely videos showing the added value of HIVE and the system behind it.

- What would you recommend to a Hive newbie – Do's and Don'ts?

Good question! Stick with it, push through, and have fun. In detail, I would advise visiting HIVE events, staying consistent with a sense of fun, and coming out to the meetups.

Do's:

• Just do it instead of leaving it
• Simply start somewhere
• Learn on the go and read into things
• Be active every day (or at least once a week)
• Read and comment on other blog posts
• Give upvotes and check in regularly
• Specialize in a topic
• Blog actively
• Build a community to gain reach and upvotes
• Produce good content
• Stay friendly, objective, and polite
• Less is often more: Rather post one less time, but deliver really great content
• Actively engage with the community
• Attend meetups and HIVE events

Don'ts:

• Just uploading one photo every day and expecting to get rich
• Insulting people publicly
• Hitting the downvote button without reason
• Thinking you'll get rich by doing nothing
• Putting all your eggs in one basket

- Would you do anything differently if you landed on Hive as a newbie today?

A very interesting question that I can't really answer. If HIVE is pitched and sold to me well, then with today's knowledge, I would definitely buy HIVE right away. So looking at the current state of things today, I would probably invest more or just simply start blogging.

What I definitely wouldn't do again: Paying 30 euros to Hive account@manncpt. I am still very grateful that he showed me the ropes, but he leaned out of the window way too far there (and with another story), which is why I eventually cut ties. An apology for his statements never really reached me to this day.

But I’m not angry with him, because after 6 years I’m still here, and for that, I am incredibly grateful. It was one of the best decisions of my life, and honestly, I am truly grateful to be a part of this.

For a long time, I thought about what highlights to present for my 6th anniversary, until I realized that my entire blog is a highlight. The whole 6 years have been a highlight, for which I would love to say and write a big Thank You.

First and foremost, I owe my HIVE earnings to Hive account@balte, and I wish to meet this person in real life one day. Honestly, he understood what I do and why I do it. Please don't get me wrong: I don't expect 100% from anyone, let alone that my content resonates with everybody. But he was the one who never upvoted my posts below 50%. When Hive account@balte hit that button, the earnings were way higher. He did it for others too – he was the one who cleverly supported many in the DACH community. THANK YOU! And he is still doing it today ...

Furthermore, I want to thank Hive account@solymi and Hive account@vikisecrets for the "learnings". They were primarily the ones where I got my non-existent HIVE knowledge from. They were the ones who always gave me cool tips. However, the HIVE community in Graz – especially Hive account@reiseamateur – also caused quite a stir, ensuring cool meetups and learnings. I got to meet our drone expert Hive account@richie8012 back then in Graz. He shot the video for Hive account@sandra-on-tour in Cyprus.

Graz, I will definitely come back, even if I won't be at every meetup. But then there is still "my" Chica Club, which I visit and build up.

I also want to thank Hive account@stayoutoftherz and Hive account@pantha.rhei, who faithfully hold the fort at the meetups. Especially in these times when we have fewer visitors, they keep showing up and helping to organize. Hive account@stayoutoftherz is definitely the driving force responsible for us meeting almost every month at the "Vienna HIVE Stammtisch".

Our meetups are known far beyond the borders and are probably the longest-running regular meetups on HIVE. Hive account@condeas also plays an important role here, because he is the only one (!) who sponsors our meetups and pushes them with 100 Hive Power.

Of course, I also want to thank the rest of the community from Vienna: Hive account@mammasitta, Hive account@cpufronz, Hive account@sofibofi, Hive account@nadinee, Hive account@manncpt ... honestly, there were so many that I didn't memorize all the usernames. That's when you notice who was and is regularly at the starting line ...

A special mention and keeping in honor our HIVE guru, who is still active at over 80 years old and regularly visits our meetups: Thank you, Hive account@thermoplastic!
