Pobre angelito cuyas alas vaporosas

traviesa brisa desgajó en el cielo azul

viose de pronto ya caído de su vuelo

sin saber cómo recobrar su níveo tul

Pobre angelito va llorando y mira arriba

desvanecerse sus alas en plena luz

cómo solloza, gimotea y se entristece

ya sin consuelo como a veces lloras tú

Si acaso un día ves llorar un niño solo

que va mirando hacia el norte o hacia el sur

puede que sea el ángel de aquella leyenda

ángel sin alas, sin aureola y sin luz
