I saw a fifteen minute presentation by Joel Bosh of the I/O Coin development team at the above conference and was really impressed. They definitely don't get much publicity. However, Bosh indicated they have been working hard on their vision since 2014. I don't believe they did an ICO funding; I believe they self-funded. Maybe the gods favor the ingenious.
