Hilarious Things Crypto and Web3/Metaverse Fans Observe

Enjoy a few photos of where the Web still isn't quite Web 2, or Metaverse at good old Meta (I mean Facebook). I time travel when sharing with certain websites and their on page Facebook button/link.

  1. Visit a website to read about P2E article from 2021

  2. Click the "f" logo under 'Share this story' - end up in the ugly past of PHP and possibly mobile sites if I remember 2011 correctly?

I want to blame Chrome or Chromium but I have to be honest, this is 100% on Facebook... I mean Meta.

I remember when "Messenger" was called Chat and looked like that. I used to talk to the girls online about their plans for the night while I was in college (LOL). None of the buttons work when you click on Windows 11 and Google Chrome. The Chat does slide up when clicked and back down when clicked.

You have to ask yourself, why would a company leave this here for any other reason than game theory and progression of a master plan? Read opensource code folks. You pay enough attention you see the good in some old, old codebases. Foundational even. Java Servlets even... But then you see UI that's flat out broken and ugly and you think - the best is yet to come because it takes a lot of effort to forget your old "sharer" is ugly ass PHP extended URL's.

-Side note, urchin needs to go too! :)
