My Analysis On The New Hivestats Application

INTRODUCTION

The new version of Hivestats is out and it is interesting to note some of the changes and updates that has happened.

I love statistics alot and it takes a lot to get them manually. I believe it helps in planning and organization. Your ability to see your profile informations can help you understand your growth.

I used to use both Hivestats and HiveSupply to check my statistics from time to time. However, I figured the latter made some things very confusing and difficult to understand. Hivestats on the other hand, looked easy but didn't have all the informations i wanted.

In this Article, I present to you some of my Analysis and suggestions from the new Version of Hivestats. It is important to note that these Analysis are based on what are i feel and noticed and they might not necessarily be important to some other people.

The Need For Improvement

It is true that most applications needs update from time to time. This is one of the reasons am happy with the new version of Hivestats. They rewrote the application so they can always improve it from time to time, this is one thing i feel is very important. I didn't even notice the previous one was not as fast as this one. I just felt the informations were not enough, but I did like the interface and the design.

According to the team's Introduction Post

The future of Hivestats and the roadmap we have laid out for it required that we go back to the beginning and rewrite the application in a language that would prove more fruitful for the months and years to come.

Wow! That's interesting. This statement alone shows that they have the community's interest at hand and they are willing to grow with the community.

First Observation

At the Top Menu bar, you can see a list of articles that are displayed. When you click on any of the article, it takes you to the LeoFinance frontend. At first glanced, I thought it wasn't cool as it only showed posts on LeoFinance. However, I realized the HiveStats is application created by the leofinance@leofinance Team, and only then did i understand the idea behind the articles.

I think the idea is cool, to make more people discover LeoFinance through the Hivestats.

Can You Make The List A Bit Animated?

I don't mind it being static, I just think a little bit of movements of the articles would seem more appealing.

Does it have to be numbered?

Yet again, it is cool that way, However, I also think without numbering, people would click what want. I clicked the number 1 article first! It felt the easiest to click any way.

I Love The Profile Bar

I like the design, it looks good to the eye. I also like how the "Vote Value" icon can be navigated and controlled. That way, one can see how long it takes to get a 100% vote value at every point in time.

Resource Credit Tab?

I feel there is space under the vote value, so we can add a resource credit tab, to fill the space maybe. While i don't like hive.supply interface that much, their resource credit feature was one thing that helped me.

Wallet & Analytics

Just like the Profile Bar, I love the way it looks. You can switch the analytics from a 7 day stats to a 30days stats which makes sense.

Account Growth!

One of the reasons i love searching for these statistics is to know how much growth and progress i make from time to time.

This graph shows it in details and i love it.
It also interesting to see how much HBD you earn in a graph, I like how i can access it and how it looks very easy to understand.

Hive Engine Tokens

I'm new to writing on Leo and it's interesting to know I've made over 100+ Leo tokens. The visuals now makes it look sweeter. I'm staking it all now. I like the "Pending Unstake" feature. I think it is an important one.

Then there is a separate tab for the Hive engine operations and rewards. I like that alot.

In Conclusion...

I love everything i see and i think the future developments will even be better. I wish i had more suggestions. However, I don't. Maybe i might some other time. I just would end by saying thank you to the team for giving us regular updates pior to the release. I think that's another beauty of the LeoFinance community. They always keep us informed.
