The thirst for more...

Greetings!

One thing that has landed us here is our thirst to achieve more in life, no wonder people say that human want is insatiable meaning, humans would always crave for more no matter what they have achieved in life. So, the simple fact about life and humanity is that we can never be content with whatever we have or have achieved.

Having said so much about contentment and humans, I would like to delve into the topic of the prompt in the Hive learners community which is all about, “A happy utopia.”

Well, to me, one thing that has brought us to this era of technological development is the lack of human contentment. Had it been that we are contented with life as humans, we would prefer to be living in the past as the past would have been okay by us, but because of our thirst for more, we could just stay back and be contented with the past and that was why we were able to even launch into the future and the result of the lack of contentment can now be seen by everyone.

For one to move forward in life, such a person must not be content with his or her own life as there is always more to life. So, to me, we wouldn't have gotten to our current status in life as humans hadn't it been that people refused to be happy with what is on ground and use their need to get things done and build technologies that would make things faster than what used to be obtained in the past.

So, it's because people have chosen not to remain or be complacent with the happiness of their past that they were able to get developed technologically as we are today, and that's why life have been made so easy for everyone of us, it's because some are not contented with their current status that would help us to even have a better and brighter future ahead of us.

Life is not just about being happy with who we are or what we have achieved but by being pushed forward to achieve a greater height that would make us live a better and fulfilled life in the end.

It's our desperate and greedy approach to life that has brought us this far in life and like I've said earlier, if we can be more greedy, then the enjoyment of technological development would also increase.

So, if not for our malicious approach and thirst for more technological advancement, we would have even been 50 years back as human, but thank God we were able to achieve much in this our time due to not being complacent or happy with whatever we have achieved as a race.

In conclusion, it's our thirst for more in life that would always bring about the needed technological advancement that would always be required for the comfortable living of the human race.
