Nothing Beats the Bond Between Families Sharing Delicious Food at Home, Hot Pot in the House
Hello Hivers of this community. I’m here again with a new food blog to share. I hope you have a great day and enjoy time with your family.
Today I was happy to share with my experience together with my family having some hot pot at home. It was our very first time trying this and it was a great and delicious food whatever occasion you are celebrating. We did this before my mom would have her departure back at Singapore, after two years that we didn’t see each other, we make sure that every moment is celebrated with a food. No matter how simple the food you prepare if you eat it with your family, its one of the best.
My mother tells us that she always prepares hot pot at Singapore, and she wanted us to experience it.
All the ingredients were bought at a Korean Mart at our place. Good thing there’s already a Mart like in our town, so if we would crave for hot pot or some Korean foods, we would just buy it here. We bought 2 kg of pork which already slice in thin layers, enoki mushrooms, mix fish balls, sausages, vegetables like corn, tomatoes, potato and broccoli, cabbage, bok choy, Ma ling, Korean noodles, and bone broth soup base.
There are a lot of ingredients if you like to have a hot pot at home, you can add more vegetable like carrots, and if you’re not a pork meat lover, you can also try other meat like chicken or beef.
The first step for this was to boil at least 2 liters water at the pot. We also assemble the vegetables first for the hot pot like the corns, potatoes, broccoli, and tomatoes. When the water is already boiling, we first pour the broth soup base then after a minute we now add the vegetables first, when the potatoes are nearly soft, add all the other ingredients and set the fire jus in a low heat so that the vegetable will not over cooked. We can’t add all the ingredients because it will over flow at the pot.
Look how nice the vegetables and meats are in our simple hot pot at home. Eating this would also require us to be very careful because it was really hot.
We really enjoyed our hot pot at home, aside that the food was really good, our time was spent with so much fun and stories to tell. I’m so much full just by having two bowls of the hot pot. I’m thankful that I was able this together with my family.
I hope someday we would reunite again with my family, because they are now working overseas. A get together like this was priceless for me. Sometimes I would cry because its not like it used to be when we are kids, everyday we get together enjoying simple and delicious food prepared by my mom. So, enjoy every moment when you are with your family, eat with all your heart and forget to take a diet. That’s all for today my dear Hiver friends, thank you for reading my food blog. Have a nice day!
Sincerely, @saijan19
