Macaroni Soup or “Sopas” with Cream of Mushroom for this Rainy Weather
Hello again Hive Food community! I’m back with another recipe to share with you guys.
In our place today, this early morning there’s a downpour until now. I’m thinking of a perfect food to eat for this kind of weather. As I check on our kitchen, there’s a macaroni and I also saw a can of cream of mushroom. So, I thought of cooking it together and “Sopas” or macaroni soup is the perfect dish to cook for my family for this kind of weather today.
It’s really raining today so, I can’t go the market because it’s a hustle to buy the other ingredients, so I just cooked whatever our kitchen offers and make it a delicious one.
Good thing I had some of the ingredients needed for this dish. So, join me in my humble kitchen as I share how I cooked this Macaroni soup with cream of mushroom.
Ingredients:
200 g of macaroni shells
360 g evaporated milk
1 can of Cream of Mushroom
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped onions
Chopped garlic
1 medium size carrots
1 pc. Hotdog
Cooking Time:
In a casserole, sauté first the garlic and onions until it becomes aromatic.
Chopped the carrots and hotdogs into cube then add it on the casserole. Set aside when the carrots are half-cooked.
On the same casserole I added about 1 liter of water.
Let it boil and add the macaroni shells.
When the shells are already half-cooked add the evaporated milk. I also added a tsp. of pepper and 1 chicken cube. I also added the carrots and hotdogs back.
Gradually add the Cream of Mushroom into the soup. Then add just a pinch of salt to taste, the cream of mushroom was a bit salty, so I just added pinch of salt.
Then continuous stirring so that the bottom wouldn’t burn, until the shells are already cooked.
Then we have it, my very own Macaroni soup or “sopas” with cream of mushroom. You can add chicken to make it more flavorful and cabbage for more vegetables in this recipe. Since, that was the only ingredients my kitchen offers, but the taste was really great and it was indeed a good food for this kind of weather today here in our place.
That’s all my dear hivers of this community. Till’ next food blog. Have a wonderful day and keep safe everyone.
Sincerely, @saijan19
