Easy and Simple Recipe for Milk-Fish with Eggplants, Liver in Soy Sauce with potatoes for Dinner
Hello Hiver of this community! How are you all doing today? I’m here again to share another easy recipe of fish which is Milk-fish.
Yesterday the weather was still gloomy and there’s a little downpour so it was really good to sip a hot soup. As I checked on our refrigerator the only food that was left was a milk-fish, because tomorrow is my schedule to go to the market. So, I decided to cook “Sinigang na Bangus” or Milk-fish stew and since we had some eggplants that I get at our backyard, I just added it to this recipe to have some vegetables.
So, join me again in my humble kitchen, as I share how to cooked this simple and easy recipe of this fish.
Ingredients:
1 pc. Milk-fish
1 thumb-sized ginger
1 pc. Onion
2 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. salt
1 sinigang mix
seasonings
1 pc. eggplant
Cooking time:
First is to clean the fish properly, removing all the intestines and gills of the milk-fish then was thoroughly. In a casserole add the chopped onions, ginger and add 2 cups of water.
When it was already boiling, add the milk-fish and let it boil for about 3 minutes then add the salt, sinigang mix and pepper.
The sinigang mix was just a substitute, it’s better to have a natural sour taste like sampalok, but we don’t have a sampalok tree nearby, so I just used this sinigang mix to make the recipe sour.
Then let it cooked for 5 minutes more and add the eggplants and cooked again for another 2 minutes.
Then we have it Milk-Fish sour stew or what we call “Sinigang na Bangus” with eggplants.
My husband also cooked liver in soy sauce with potatoes. Then we have a bountiful dinner that time and we thank God for giving us food to partake. That’s all my dear hivers of this community who loves to share their food recipe. Till’ next blog. Have a wonderful day!
Sincerely, @saijan19
