A Simple Dinner with the Family, how we Celebrated my Husband’s birthday Yesterday
Hello my dear hiver friends of this this community, how are you all doing today? Today’s blog was about how we celebrated my husband’s birthday yesterday.
We really look forward every time someone in our family celebrates their birthday. Planning what to be cooked to celebrate my husband’s birthday. I asked him what he wants, he just simply said that he wanted a simple dinner together with the family.
Good thing we have ducks on our mini farm that can be cooked with different dishes, so we decided to cook three ducks. Three dishes which is his favorite, “tinolang” duck, “adobo sa gata” and “dinuguan”. I also cooked sweet style spaghetti.
He also requested me to prepare some graham cake; it was his favorite dessert. Yesterday was a busy day to prepare for our simple dinner. I also thank our aunts who were always helping us every time there is a simple celebration like yesterday.
My husband was also the one who cooked the “adobo sa gata”, it was his specialty. Look how curious our kids watching their father butchering the duck. They keep on saying “poor duck” because it was butchered, but I told them it was butchered so that we could cook it for their father’s birthday.
Good thing we also have pressure cooker so that the meat of the duck would be cooked faster and become tender.
I also finished preparing the graham cake, I cook the sweet style spaghetti. Everything was prepared and it we decided to have an early dinner yesterday.
My kids keep on singing happy birthday song, and telling how much they love their father. We had a simple dinner and thank God for another year He had given to my husband. I also prayed that God would always give him protection especially to his work. My husband was really hardworking and doing his best just to provide for the family. For us, even if it was a simple celebration, it was a core memory to keep together with our children.
That’s all my dear hivers of this community. Till’ next food blog. Keep safe everyone.
Sincerely, @saijan19
