The best views are from high up (Eng/Esp)

The beach offers more than just enchanting scenery that combines sand, water, and sun; while there is an area set aside for tourists to enjoy, there are also rocky spots with strong waves, and some beaches even stretch right up to the foothills of a mountain, offering spectacular views.

On my recent trip to Quetepe Beach, I enjoyed the resort area, but my adventurous spirit urged me to go further, to corners I hadn’t explored before. Sometimes we have to step outside our comfort zone to experience new sensations and, in doing so, feel truly alive and appreciate these wonderful moments.

I walked to the end of the beach, where the soft sand lets you walk barefoot and feel its texture. However, my perspective changed when the ground began to reveal sharp stones that hurt my feet, so the smartest thing to do was to put on my shoes to continue.

On this hike, the landscape changed with the perspective; on this side, an abandoned boat stood out in the foreground next to some dry branches—clear signs that this area isn’t a tourist attraction. I climbed up some half-collapsed steps; only a few pieces of concrete remained. The cliff looked a bit dangerous, but when I turned my gaze toward the other shore, the landscape was truly beautiful.

It was worth the effort; looking down from above offers a different perspective—you get the best views. Every time I visit these places, I make a point of walking around the area to capture stunning images and remember these scenes with a big, satisfied smile.

La playa no solo muestra paisajes encantadores que combinan arena, agua y sol, pues si bien hay una zona dispuesta para el disfrute de los turistas, además hay sitios pedregosos y de fuertes oleajes, aunque también las playas pueden aproximarse a las las faldas de una montaña, ofreciendo una vista espectacular.

En mi reciente excursión por playa Quetepe disfruté de la zona del balneario, pero mi espíritu aventurero me pidió ir más allá, a rincones que no había explorado antes. A veces tenemos que salir de nuestra zona de confort para experimentar nuevas sensaciones y de esta forma sentir que estamos vivos y agradecer por estos momentos tan agradables.

Caminé hasta el final de la playa, esa donde la suave arena permite desplazarse con el pie descalzo y sentir la textura. Sin embargo, la perspectiva cambió cuando el suelo comenzó a presentar piedras que lastiman, así que lo más sensato fue calzarme para seguir.

En este recorrido el paisaje cambió con la perspectiva, de este lado un bote abandonado destacaba en primer plano junto a unas ramas secas, claras señales de que esta zona no es de interés turístico. Subí por unas escalinatas a medio derrumbar, solo quedaban algunos pedazos de concreto. El risco se veía un tanto peligroso, pero al volver la vista hacia la otra costa, el paisaje era muy hermoso.

Valió la pena el esfuerzo, observar desde las alturas ofrece un panorama distinto, se obtienen las mejores vistas. Cada vez que visito estos lugares me dispongo a caminar por los alrededores para de esta forma atesorar imágenes impresionantes y recordar estos escenarios con una gran sonrisa de satisfacción.
