In addition, the Monas monument is one of the tourist attractions and the definition of an educational center that is very attractive for Indonesian citizens, both in Jakarta and outside Jakarta. Tugu Monas has a height of 433 feet (132m).
The form of towering Monas contains the philosophy of "Lingga and Yoni" which resembles "Alu" as "Lingga" and the form of a container in the form of a room that resembles "Lumpang" as "Yoni".
Alu and Lumpang is a very important thing for every family in Indonesia, especially rural people. Lingga and Yoni are symbols of ancient times that depict eternal life, Lignga is a positive element and Yoni is a positive element, such as the presence of day and night, men and women, good and bad, are the eternity of the world.
The shape of the architectural lines of the monument illustrates lines that move not monotonously evenly, up, jumping, curving, evenly distributed and rising soaring high and finally wavy above the shape of a burning flame.
A monument that towers with a tongue of fire burning at its peak illustrates a burning spirit and never goes down in the bosom of the Indonesian people.
