When love grows deeper than Appearances
Most of us will definitely get married someday so if you genuinely love and respect one another that love and respect can and grow, and evolve in a married couple. But most times people may avoid marriage due to some personal reasons like financial or legal concerns, fear of divorce and fear of being committed.
A bad marriage can have far reaching consequences affecting not only the emotional well-being of individual but also their physical health because staying in a toxic relationship can lead to various outcomes, including heightened stress levels and increased risk of mental health disorders. l would like to share a short experience.
When l was much younger back then, guys normally approach me but l turned most of them down due to the fact that l have this particular spec for guys l like, l usually like them tall, light skinned, and good looking. Despite the fact that l was single l always wanted my future boyfriend to be like this until eventually l met the guy of my dreams he asked me out. I accepted and we started dating we dated for a couple of months it wasn't really what l expected the relationship was so toxic, the guy would bring different girls to his house and when l confront him, he would always sound unapologetic to me. I couldn't keep up with the whole thing as it was already affecting my mental health so l had to break up with him and we both went our separate ways, since this happened l stopped having this mentality of particular spec when it comes to guys rather l would prefer a guy that will make me happy and have much more to offer than just looks.
Women care more about appearance than men although men's attraction to women is mostly appearance based, but women put far more effort into and focus on it, to be honest relationship based solely on looks don't last long, you're more likely to stay with a partner that listens, cares, loves and complement your lifestyle, looks might actually fade after some time but what remains intact is your feelings towards your partner.
But for me the standards for marriage comes first before the physical appearance, although l will love my future husband to be romantic and also financial stable, few people always ask me if l need financial orgasm or coitus orgasm in a marriage but the truth is l need the two because both are very important in a marriage one can't do without the other. But l don't just want a future husband l also want a man that will be my husband, father, brother, and a best friend to me also, and l would definitely be submissive to my partner.
My advice goes to both males and females, we shouldn't just get involved with our partner just because of looks because if your partner is your best friend you probably share emotional intimacy and trust, which is great this type of supportive relationship can make you feel safe and secure positively impacting every part of your life.
