My crypto exchange experience evolution
My experience with crypto exchanges started in 2017 when I decided to withdraw my very first earnings on the Steemit platform. Back then, there were fewer exchanges, at the top, if not the most popular one, was Bittrex. However, this experience was far from smooth, as I encountered several challenges as it was my first Exchange experience ever.
You see, at the time, I noticed the difficulties associated with using exchanges like Bittrex. The platform had an unfriendly user interface, making it challenging to navigate and execute trades.
Speaking of the Bittrex user interface, I'd say it's still the worst I have ever had experience with over the years. Some might say it was poor because it was in the early phase of the crypto industry. But I will honestly disagree with that because, to this day, I feel like they barely made any improvement.
As I am writing this, I can't access my coins/token for some unknown reason even when my account is verified, my app is updated. Here's the thing. Before I log in, I see the prices of the coins but once I log in, they disappear displaying an empty screen.
What would I have done if my whole funds were on Bittrex? Thanks to Binance for diverting my attention back to when they launched.
The arrival of Binance was a game changer in the crypto industry. Binance is more than an Exchange. They are a hub to learn, earn, and trade.
Just as I have stated, I had experience with just Bittrex before Binance. So, I would say yes, Binance came up with strategies to eliminate high fees offered to customers by Bittrex and other exchanges that existed at that time.
When it comes to customer service, we have to give it to Binance. Up till this day, I’m still wondering how they’ve managed to attend to issues with the number of traffic they get worldwide. They have really been able to perform amazingly. I guess they are built to serve their customer right no matter what.
The last time I mistakenly sent hive token to Binance with the wrong memo, I was offered to resolve the issue all by myself. I mean, they already built a form that users who have complaints fill out and don’t have to wait before speaking to a live agent. However, the option still exists if one wishes to speak with them live.
Another thing I recently noticed in the customer chat box is that they integrated AI ( artificial intelligence) to assist customers with any shallow queries or issues. With this implementation, users would learn more about their products and services which may also be the solution they are seeking for.
The launch of Binance in the crypto space no doubt has pivoted the advancement of exchanges. What I hope next is to see more businesses like Binance emerge with transparency, professionalism, friendliness, better customer support, and more.
I really want to use this opportunity to appreciate Changpeng Zhao the genius idea behind Binance. He’s been a hero to the industry.
I would like to know if you ever had any experience with Bittrex, how was it and how is it going.
