We may drift, but we won't disappear

Now that I’ve written a blog dedicated to my family, this one is for you, my friends.

Dear friends,

I hope this message finds you well.

It still amazes me how we’ve only been together for a year or two, yet what we’ve built feels like something much deeper, like a friendship that has lived far longer than time allows. Somehow, in such a short span, you became people I can’t imagine this chapter of my life without.

Thank you for being part of my most cherished memories.

I know life will soon take us in different directions. We’ll chase different dreams, meet new people, and build new circles. And while that’s a beautiful part of growing up, there’s a part of me that holds on to what we have now because I know it’s something rare.

I may not always be beside you in the future, but please know this: I will never forget you.

I wish all of you success not just in your careers, but in life, in happiness, and in becoming the people you dream of becoming. And I hope that one day, when time is kinder and our paths cross again, we’ll meet not as strangers, but as fulfilled versions of ourselves, proud of how far we’ve come.

Please don’t forget me, the same way I could never forget you. You will always have a space in my heart.

Thank you for teaching me what genuine friendship looks like. There was a time when I struggled to choose the right people... when I was surrounded by friendships that took more than they gave. But you changed that. You helped me grow. You showed me loyalty, sincerity, and the kind of connection that doesn’t need to compete or pretend.

Because of you, I see friendships differently now with more light, more hope, and more understanding.

In a few months, college life will begin. You’ll meet new faces, build new bonds, and create new memories. I truly hope the people you meet will treat you with the same care and loyalty that you’ve shown me because that kind of friendship is rare, and you all deserve nothing less.

And even if our messages get buried under new conversations, I hope that sometimes, you’ll scroll back, read our old chats, and smile at the memories we once shared.

I trust you. I appreciate you. And I carry our friendship with me wherever life takes me.
