Ministry at the Beach

Preaching near the shoreline isn't new to me. I’ve done it a few times before, but each experience still leaves an impression. There's something about the beach that softens people's heart, even mine. We went to a small fishing community this time. From a distance, you could already see the bamboo huts, children playing barefoot on the sand, and locals busy with their daily routines. It was a peaceful place for real.

It felt a bit funny, honestly. I was in a green dress and a black blazer, standing on white sand like I was ready for a formal event. 😅 But I’ve learned not to worry too much about how I look in the field. What matters is the message and the sincerity behind it. As we walked from one house to another, I noticed how conversations felt lighter. People here weren’t in a hurry. They had time to talk. Some listened while doing chores, others invited us to sit down. It reminded me that preaching isn’t just about delivering a message, it's also about connecting with people in a genuine way. And in settings like this, those connections feel more personal.

What stood out to me most was how the peaceful environment seemed to reflect the tone of the message we bring—a message of hope, calm, and reassurance. Jehovah’s promises sound even more beautiful when shared in a setting that already feels like a glimpse of peace.

Spending the day preaching by the beach reminded me of something simple: the truth we carry is meant to reach every corner of the earth no matter how remote, quiet, or unexpected the place may be. Whether in the city or in the beach, our work stays the same, and so does the joy that comes with it.

Moments like this don’t always make it to the headlines of our week, but they stay with us. And sometimes, it's these humble settings that bring out the most genuine appreciation for the ministry. I’ll carry this day with me, not because it was perfect, but because it was real.
