An unexpected weekend experience

Hello, beings of light who shine every weekend!

Life is sometimes like a game of dominoes, and it brings us surprises along the way.

It's been a long time since I've been to this beautiful community, and I want to return, taking advantage of @galenkp's call to share our #WeekendExperiences with everyone.

So, although I missed the opportunity to participate in the week 267 initiative, I'll tell you about some beings of light who have won a big part of my heart for being there for me in difficult times, for their talent, their ability to help others, and their helping hands when life gets dark. This is the story I'm sharing with you.

I'm here to share some of what I experienced this past weekend. What I thought would be endless, gray days for me, due to the sadness and hopelessness that has overwhelmed me for almost two months, turned out to be full of pleasant surprises, thanks to such special people as @ernestopg, his friend Greta (whom we'll surely have on #Hive soon), @lizandra, and her daughter Lía.

It dawned like any other day, with no clear plans, disoriented, withered, with no desire to laugh, wandering aimlessly through the city streets. Fortunately, I arrived at @lizandra's house, where she had planned a series of activities to bring back the colors of time with the invaluable company of @ernestopg, Greta, Lía, and Dylan.

The first thing that happened was a visit to the city's central plaza, where the children beamed with smiles thanks to a wonderful children's fashion show, performances by magicians, clowns, and a fair where you could find the unthinkable.

While we waited for #ernestopg, the man directly responsible for bringing back our laughter with his antics, to arrive, we went for a coffee at the Balcón de Las Flores. Of course, we took photos, to share them with all of you.

The hours passed without us even realizing it. @lizandra had the idea to send me out to buy whiskey, and I decided to dedicate the first sip to the city for its 336th anniversary.

Dominoes made their presence felt and livened up most of the hours. I tried to win every game, but it was impossible. I only won three. They were close games where everyone won several times, with Lía taking the most victories until finally @ernestopg and her friend Greta arrived, who took the rest.

While they sipped exquisite Spanish wines, I continued sipping on the whiskey while we all enjoyed some delicious popcorn to accompany the jokes and stories @ernestopg shared with us.

Coffee was a must. This time it was my turn to make it while they continued their domino battles, and I think it turned out good with a touch of milk to change its name to "cortadito."

It was a pleasant time. We talked about #hive. We told funny stories, jokes, danced, and laughter filled the hours. I hope you too were able to smile this weekend and enjoy the future ones.
