A Memory [Poetry]
There are days when the illusion stops you on the road,
There are times when we stop seeing the light in a Star,
And there are times when sadness prevents us from seeing the sun shine.
When I think there are no reasons I remember you.
Because there is something in you that lives within me,
And there is something in me that lives in you,
And it's amazing the power you have over me,
It's so subtle, like the sun fluttering a butterfly,
That just by moving its wings can change the course,
This is how you are for me.
And it is that moment when the world loses the ordinary,
When my soul collapses and is repaired in seconds,
When my tears dry with the breeze of your smile,
And can the whole world be dark.
But I can see lips of colors that shine among the clouds,
And so it is that from here I think of you,
And you make me believe again.
Memories do not populate our solitude, as they say; on the contrary, they make it deeper.
