Obeying God means No Partiality
2 King 10:30-31
30 The Lord said to Jehu, “You have done well. You have done what I say is good. You destroyed Ahab’s family the way I wanted you to, so your descendants will rule Israel for four generations.” 31 But Jehu was not careful to follow the law of the Lord with all his heart. Jehu did not stop committing the sins of Jeroboam that caused Israel to sin.
What a misfortune. Jehu had all the opportunity to accomplish God’s plan and to make known as one the great king yet the enticement of worldly passion and self interest pulled him away.
Maybe we can relate this to our own obedience to the work entrusted to us by God. When we decided to follow and obey the Lord, we must be 100% committed, without any hint partiality for GOD will definitely deal with us when time comes.
