Via de la Plata 2

My second day on Via de la Plata I started relatively late. I was tired from yesterday and I didnt sleep enough last two days, actually 4-5 hours. So I leaved the albergue almost as last one.

The sleeping town I leaved at a bridge, the river was not completely parched. Another one kilometer and then started countryside typical for this time of year.

On the middle of the way a water spring. Such occasions very rare on the Via de la Plate. Not seldom such long stages without possibility to fill bottle with water, or even get some eat or just sit somewhere in shadow. The heat make you sick very fast. But today is a short way, just 19km.

I arrived the city at 13:00. I put the backpack in albergue and went to the city to buy some food. Despite the sunday some small shops are open.

My first stamps :)

In the albergue were at this day around 8-9 pilgrims. I never saw these people anymore during following days. I guess they took next day a taxi, because next stage was very hard. 32 kilometers without any town, water springs. I bought 2 1.5 bottles of water, + tin coca cola , an apple and cooked 2 eggs for tomorrow.
