Is Steem a utility token?
A short working paper by Chohan (https://dx.doi.org/10.2139/ssrn.3129410) argues that:
"In contrast to many other cryptocurrencies, the Steem’s value will be closely affiliated to
its utilitarian value as a social networking and sharing platform, and less dependent on
the speculative aspect of crypto-”investment” which has characterised most other such
instruments. In other words, there is a stronger correlation between the underlying
function of the platform and the value of cryptocurrency than is found in other
altcoins".
I'm wondering whether this is accurate: what can you actually do with Steem tokens other than trading them or exchanging them for e.g. Steem Power? Would you classify Steem as a utlility token or rather as a security?
