Hello beautiful people of the Hive Open Mic community 👋🎶

I’m excited to share my entry for Hive Open Mic Week 311, and this week’s presentation is deeply rooted in worship, reverence, and heartfelt expression. For this entry, I performed the powerful and spirit-lifting song “Holy Holy Are You Lord God Almighty”, and it was truly an enriching experience both musically and spiritually.

This piece is one that speaks beyond just melody and harmony—it carries a profound message of adoration, surrender, and acknowledgment of God’s sovereignty. As I sat at the piano to play, I wasn’t just thinking about the chords or progression, but about the atmosphere the music creates. My goal was to let every note flow with meaning, creating a space where anyone listening can feel connected, uplifted, and drawn into a moment of worship.

The piano arrangement in this performance is simple yet expressive, allowing the natural beauty of the song to shine through. I focused on dynamics, touch, and emotion—letting the soft passages breathe and the powerful moments rise with intensity. Every chord was played with intention, aiming to support the message of the song while also creating a rich musical texture.

I was privileged not to do this alone. I had the support of some truly amazing backup singers whose voices added depth, warmth, and life to the performance. Their harmonies complemented the piano beautifully and helped elevate the overall sound to something truly special. There’s something powerful about voices coming together in unity, especially in a song like this—it transforms the performance into a collective expression of worship.

Rehearsing this piece reminded me of the importance of collaboration and listening. It wasn’t just about playing and singing; it was about blending, adjusting, and creating a unified sound. I’m really grateful for the energy and dedication each person brought into this project.

Hive Open Mic continues to be an incredible platform that brings together musicians from all over the world, allowing us to express ourselves, grow, and inspire one another. Being part of this community has helped me push my creativity further and remain consistent in sharing meaningful music.
