Readying myself for the road ahead

Hi Hive,

I now have my bike and starting to diet and exercise for my journey (lands end to John o Groats).

The bike was my brothers, but i think better than rusting in the garage, i'll make her happy with a little ride!!

I'm starting to get all my kit.

First off this friday i'm buying:

• A carbon fibre travel ukulele and battery powered amplifier (As writing songs will be my evening activity).

• Rear carrier and pavilion rucksacks.

That's all i'll be getting this friday (and still amounts to a fair few english pounds).

Over the next few months i'll obtain all my kit.

Being: Tent, sleeping bag, cookware, cycling gps (Garmin).

I plan to be ready to leave in around 6 months (with training and getting the equipment taking place during this period).

I shall keep you updated with the training and a look at the kit as i obtain it.

And here's the one piece of kit i actually have for the moment, my bike, i shall call her.. Imogen.
