What Are We Doing?
Today, I was flipping through an Oprah magazine from January this year. Our neighbour had dropped it off with a few other magazines and I was curious.
At the back of the magazine is Oprah's column, "What I Know For Sure." The quote in the sidebar grabbed by attention. "Don't underestimate your power. Hate is potent but so is kindness. And goodness and grace use yours generously."
Wise words and words we can put into practice in our daily interactions with all those who share our ecosystem. At the moment, hatred, fear, anger, greed, envy and other negative forces are driving our society. Do not take part in the negativity. Be kind.
We also live in a world of lies. A world where lying has become acceptable as long as it gets you what you want. Be honest.
