Una salida especial/A Special Outing 🍗🤩

Hello gente de Hive, qué tal todo? Por estos lados del mundo todo bien gracias a Dios, con un día bastante estresante, pero agradecida y feliz porque mis chicos finalmente están de vacaciones, así que sí señores, sobrevivimos a otro año escolar!!! Oficialmente Matías pasó a 5to año (su último año de bachillerato) y Miranda a 2do año, así que felicidades para ellos y para mí 🤣

Y pasando a otros asuntos, por si no se dieron cuenta ayer no pasé por mi blog, y es que estuve de cumple y decidí tomarme el día para descansar y compartir con mi familia, porque la verdad ánimos para hacer otra cosa no habían, tanto por la situación que atravesamos como país justo ahora, como por el hecho de no estar mi esposo en casa, de hecho, ni pastel hice, sin embargo mi mamá insistió en ir a almorzar algo rico, y al salir de la iglesia nos fuimos a Pollos Nyco, uno de nuestros lugares favoritos de pollo a la broaster y que una vez más no nos decepcionó.

Este es un lugarcito que tiene años en nuestro pueblo (yo diría que poco más de 15 años), y a pesar del tiempo, su calidad no ha decaído, por lo que en momentos especiales y en los que queremos comer rico es una de nuestras opciones, así que ahí decidimos compartir un rato diferente.

Pedimos pollo a la canasta (pollo con papas fritas), arepitas fritas y refresco, y como de costumbre aparte de súper abundante estaba demasiado rico todo. El pollo doradito, crujiente y con muchísimo sabor y las papitas... pues solo miren las fotos de arriba y antójense 🤣

La verdad es que aparte de comer un montón la pasamos bastante bien compartiendo como familia y agradeciendo por un año más de vida, porque a pesar de que las circunstancias que nos rodean no sean las mejores, siempre hay un motivo para agradecer.

Hello, Hive community! How’s everyone doing? Over here, everything’s fine, thank God. It’s been a pretty stressful day, but I’m grateful and happy because my kids are finally on vacation, so yes, folks, we survived another school year!!! Matías has officially moved up to 5th year (his last year of high school) and Miranda to 2nd year, so congratulations to them—and to me 🤣

Moving on to other matters, in case you didn’t notice, I didn’t post on my blog yesterday. It was my birthday, and I decided to take the day off to rest and spend time with my family—because honestly, I didn’t have the energy to do anything else, both because of the situation our country is going through right now and because my husband isn’t home. In fact, I didn’t even bake a cake, but my mom insisted we go out for a delicious lunch, and after church we went to Pollos Nyco, one of our favorite spots for broaster chicken, and once again, it didn’t disappoint us.

This little spot has been around in our town for years (I’d say a little over 15 years), and despite the passage of time, the quality hasn’t declined. So, for special occasions and when we want to eat well, it’s one of our go-to choices—and that’s where we decided to spend some quality time together.

We ordered pollo a la canasta (chicken with french fries), fried arepas, and soda, and as usual, not only was the portion huge, but everything was absolutely delicious. The chicken was golden brown, crispy, and full of flavor, and the fries… well, just look at the photos above and let your mouth water 🤣

The truth is that, aside from eating a ton, we had a really good time spending time together as a family and giving thanks for another year of life, because even though the circumstances around us aren’t the best, there’s always a reason to be grateful.
