MANGROVE FOREST OBSERVATION TOWER // Enjoying the Stunning Landscape of Langsa's Mangrove Forest from the Observation Tower
Good night to all my beloved hive friends ❤️
If we visit the mangrove forest tourist destination in Langsa City,we will be amazed by one of its most iconic attractions: a 45-meter-high observation tower with seven floors. This tower is the final spot visitors can explore within the tourist area, attracting many people who come to see it firsthand and experience it for themselves. From a height of around 40 meters,we can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, and what makes it even more special is that the tower stands in the heart of one of the largest mangrove forests in Southeast Asia.
Before we continue, I'd like to share a few important things. To enter the Langsa Mangrove Forest tourist destination, we need to pay an entrance fee of IDR 10,000 per person. Then, if we want to visit the observation tower, we have to purchase another ticket costing IDR 20,000 per person, which is currently equivalent to the value of about 23 HIVE.
Although the observation tower is still part of the same mangrove forest tourist area, for some reason we are required to buy a separate ticket to access it.
And this is the ticket booth. At that moment, the staff member asked me to watch the booth for a while because they wanted to go to the restroom Lol.
It had been more than four months since my last visit to this place, yet it still looked almost the same, with very few noticeable changes, and the only thing that felt different was the natural atmosphere surrounding it. I paused for a moment to admire the beauty of this magnificent observation tower,It stood tall and impressive, although the paint had begun to fade over time. Without wasting any more time, I eagerly made my way inside to start exploring the tower.
This is the inauguration plaque of the Langsa Mangrove Tower. It shows that the tower was officially inaugurated by Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, the Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, on April 15 2022.
One thing I'd like to mention before exploring this tower. It stands about 40 meters tall and has seven floors. For children and most adults, climbing to the top may not be too difficult. However, for elderly visitors, it can be quite challenging because they have to climb each floor one by one using the stairs.
I made my way up to the fourth floor without much difficulty. However once I reached the fifth floor, I decided to take a short break, especially since my knees had already started shaking lol. While I was on the fifth floor, I also took some time to enjoy the beautiful scenery this place has to offer, the vast expanse of mangrove forest was now clearly visible from above.
From the sixth floor, I could already see the top of the tower, which features a golden flower petal-shaped ornament. However, the ornament is quite small, so it isn't very noticeable when viewed from the ground.
As soon as I reached the seventh floor, I was greeted by the cool, gentle breeze, which instantly made me feel relaxed. I was also very satisfied because, from the top of the tower, I could finally admire the breathtaking view of the vast mangrove forest stretching as far as the eye could see. Not only that, but I could also see several large, winding rivers flowing through the mangrove forest. It was truly a spectacular view and one that deserved to be enjoyed for a long time.
The seventh floor isn't very large, and I think it could only fit about 10 people.Fortunately, there were very few visitors that day, so my friend and I had the entire seventh floor to ourselves. With such a beautiful natural landscape right in front of me, I didn't want to leave. Of course the scenery was incredibly beautiful and had a calming effect on the soul.
It was only then that I realized I could also see Pusong Island from the seventh floor. Although it was visible from a distance, it was incredibly far away, and my phone camera could only capture a small amount of detail.
