Going in the shade in Antarctica can mean a 10
degree drop in temps (or more)...which is normally
fine...but when your base temp is -10f, it can be a
little sad to leave the sun or have the sun leave you.
Layering system on Ulvetanna even while moving was
3 base layers, synthetic puffy jacket, mid weight
down jacket, topped off with a large down parka.
