Huge trees and yellow trees

There was a huge tree on the edge of a forest. As its roots reached deep into the ground, so did its stalks. The dense foliage of the tree provided shade to the people by blocking sunlight. The tree was inhabited by innumerable birds. The area around the tree was crowded with people and birds.

A sapling of a tree grows under this huge tree. It was a flexible and delicate yellow tree. It would bend in a little wind. One day two neighbors were talking.

Aiming at the yellow tree, the big tree said, "Oh, my little neighbor, why don't you dig your roots deeper into the ground?" Why don't you stand with your head held high like me?

The yellow tree smiled softly and said - I don't see any need for it. In fact, this way I am safe.
