Weekend With Family

Assalamualaikum everyone
Let me tell you about my holiday experience last week.
Right on Saturday, January 29, 2022, my family and I decided to take a vacation to the city of Aceh.

Yes, the big city of Aceh is famous for its special regional city, in addition to amazing historical tours, we can also enjoy the stunning landscape of Banda Aceh. After more than 14 years since the 2004 tsunami disaster, Banda Aceh has now risen and dressed beautifully. There are so many tourist destinations that you can visit with your family here.

The journey to get there from my city to the city of Banda Aceh takes approximately 8 hours. I left at night at 22.30 WIB and got there at 06.00 in the morning.
Once there, my family and I went straight to the inn that I ordered earlier.

And after a short break, at 10.00 my family and I decided to go for a trip to Banda Aceh, namely to Ulee Lheue beach, this beach has become one of the favorite destinations for local residents and tourists to unwind.

Ulee Lheue Beach is the beach with the worst damage in the 2004 tsunami. Even so, this beach remains a prima donna with calm currents and complete entertainment facilities. My family and I also enjoy grilled corn that is widely sold along the beach while enjoying the beauty of the beach.

Finally 3 hours passed at Ulee lheue beach, after being satisfied playing, my family and I decided to go to another tour, namely the floating ship PLTD tour.
Floating PLTD Monument 1. The floating PLTD ship weighing 2,600 tons was dragged by the tsunami waves from the waters of Ulee Lheue for five kilometers to the center of Banda Aceh City.

The area around the PLTD Apung has been used by the government as a means of educational tourism. Around the monument are relics that resemble the waves of a flood. We can all go upstairs too and see the stunning Rows of Rows of Rows.

My family and I enjoyed the beautiful scenery on the boat, and happily captured the beautiful moments, and took pictures with the family.

Evening arrived, at 04:00 WIB, my family and I decided to return to the hotel, to rest, so that tomorrow I can be more excited for the next tour, because my family and I can only vacation for 2 days in Banda Aceh city.

Right on Monday, my family and I decided to pack things because we wanted to go back to my city, so before returning to my city, my family and I decided to go to another tourist spot, namely the tsunami museum.

As a great nation, history is a treasure that must always be remembered even though it is a bitter and sad reality. The tsunami museum in downtown Banda Aceh is a reminder as well as a monument of appreciation for those who struggled to survive the tsunami that hit 26 December 2004. This museum is free to open to the public, my family and I only need to pay parking fees if we bring a vehicle

Arriving at the heart museum, I had mixed feelings of joy and sadness, happy because I could vacation here, and sad because remembering the enormity of the tsunami that occurred in the city of Banda Aceh, inside I could feel the atmosphere when the tsunami occurred, and see photos and stories of survivors .
The names of the victims are neatly written on the walls of the museum. From the outside, this museum building looks like a big ship, but from above it looks like ocean waves.

Besides functioning as a historical object, this building also has a function as a place in the event of a tsunami. Walk a little behind the Dutch military funeral museum when the Aceh war took place. Approximately two thousand local soldiers and the Dutch East Indies are buried here.

And that's all my story at the tsunami tourism museum, I hope all the victims calm down, and be placed by Allah SWT.

And after the vacation to the last tour, it was late, my family and I decided to eat Barata's dream meatballs, if you are on vacation to Aceh Besar if you want to find meatballs, taste the big meatballs with the right taste, Barata is the place, this is the best.

That's all my vacation story, how about it? Isn't it fun? That's great.
Especially on vacation with family.
Thank you for reading my story, good luck to all of you.
