Need water… for the #monomad challenge
In Cuba, the crisis is like a rusted pipe, full of rivets and constant leaks. Electricity crisis, garbage, potholes, inequalities like never seen before, and a long etcetera… But I think the crisis that impacts the most (or empinga, in good Cuban slang) is the water crisis.
The crisis as a whole is annoying, yes, but water is what's essential. Without power, the supply sources don't work, nor do the motors to pump water from the cisterns up to the tanks or buildings.
These images show only a tiny fraction of the true scope: people carrying water from wherever they can to distant places, in wheelbarrows, on their shoulders, or with any luck, in some vehicle.
