Aceh Coffee
Some time ago I could souvenir Aceh coffee. Miscellaneous, from which the shape is still roasted coffee beans to powder. Actually, the only coffee enthusiast at home is my sister. I also like coffee, but the "coffee-copies" (must be mixed with sugar, milk, cream), in addition to taste problems as well as stomach problems. And the type of "real coffee", like this Aceh coffee, includes the rarely drunk. Nonetheless and so, keep the '45 spirit to write and share it in the Culinary Story of Indonesia
At a Glance Aceh Coffee Processing
In Aceh there are two types of coffee cultivated, among others arabica and robusta. Arabica is widely cultivated in the Gayo Highlands, including Takengon, Southeast Aceh, and Gayo Lues. While robusta is preferred by people in Pidie County (especially Tangse and Geumpang) and Aceh Barat (5). Physically, Arabica coffee is slimmer, smaller and shorter than Robusta. The taste of Arabica is relatively superior to other types of coffee. Sour taste and aroma is typical enjoyed coffee lovers, as well as a marker that the coffee is not blended Arabica (blended). Another plus is its lower caffeine content than Robusta (2). Yesterday I was given Coffee Ulee Kareng (Ulee Kareng is one of the districts in Banda Aceh). Ulee Kareng Coffee is produced from selected quality coffee beans from Lamno, Aceh Jaya District. He said, Ulee Kareng coffee is quite famous. A taste problem, yes.
