The difference between preaching and living the word

I've come to realize that anyone can preach the word of God, but not everyone can command the results in the word of God.

Are you confused by the above statement? Listen, God's word is very powerful and can transform the life of anyone it gets into, but the transforming power of the word of God is in the doing of the word. Why did I say this?

I have seen so many preachers of the word whose lives are not reflecting the power of the word that they do preach. I have seen drunk men preaching the word of God so eloquently that you would wonder if it isn't the spirit of God that is ministering the word through them, but if you look at the lives of such men you wouldn't see a trace of the effect of the word that they do preach.

The power of the word of God is in the "doing". It doesn't matter who you are or the title you bear if you're not living the word of God that you preach, you will never reap the fruits of the word. God's word is powerful and can transform and cause wonders in the life of anyone that put it to work, but you must put it to work in order for it to work for you.

And living the word is not all about "giving material things", it's all about obedience. Many preachers of the word have passed across this wrong notion that before anyone can have anything from God such person would first have to give up something material, when the only thing you need to give in order for the word to work for you is yourself.

And giving yourself is all about aligning yourself with the word in total obedience to what the word says. Anyone that can give himself /herself to God's word has shown himself/herself worthy of the blessings associated with such word.

So listen folks, if you want to experience the power and results of the word of God in your life then you have to move from just speaking or preaching the word to living it. The doer of the word is always the one that gets blessed - not the preacher, unless the preacher is also a doer.
