Moving the needle: a cent at a time
The Play Goes On
I been passively back to playing poker. The game of choice is a spin n go played here n there. Nothing serious and its been just a few weeks since I started back up. I got my USD balance up to $32.93. I still haven't mapped out a plan on the site I have this balance on. It's likely I randomly sign in to the poker client and find a micro game to play every so often. Eventually I'll be headed to a different site that has 50/50 sit n go's. For now I'm content with dancing around with this small balance. I'm trying to avoid the micro cash tables but it's looking like eventually that is what I'll be doing with this balance - hitting the 0.01/0.02 cash tables. I have this theory that 0.01/0.02 is one of the hardest level's to beat. It's filled with newbies and good players with busted rolls or at least that is what I am expecting. I haven't really played at those levels to an serious degree. The times I did play at 0.01/0.02 I didn't pay attention to the player dynamic. At the very least it will be interesting and a learning experience.
Some Days Later
$36.39 -- that is my new balance. While I haven't committed to a plan or full scheduled of play yet I have been playing some micro Spin N Go's and other fast play games designed as rake traps. I haven't played any amount that would warrant my roll drastically increasing but yet I still enjoy seeing its slow creep upwards. Days have passed since my first paragraph in this post. The small win showcased above $2.21 was earned in a micro $0.25 buy in. The tournament itself was KO tournament. I went on a tear and KO'd seven of the players at the final table. Unfortunately no big bounties were won. Total bounty pot $1.21/ total amount won for the win $1.00. Total players in the tournament 18. My last hand was JD 10H. To my surprise I was called by Q high. I had a massive chip lead and already lost 2 or 3 all ins to my foe. Lucky for me I hit one of my cards and won the tournament. I must of had a seven to one chip lead going into heads up. Pressure was my friend, I put my opponent all in with any halfway decent two cards I flipped over. Heads up play is a different beast. Usually its better to be the aggressor.
Chaos Still Interests Me
The above screenshot is the Buy Orders and Sell Orders for the Splinterlands pack known as CHAOS. The screenshot was taken from TribalDex. To visit the exact market click the following URL: https://tribaldex.com/trade/CHAOS I find myself always gravitating to CHAOS. Watching to see where CHAOS pack prices wonder seems to be something that is interesting to me. The current date is 2026-06-28 and at current time one CHAOS pack on TribalDex will cost 5.25 Hive Tokens on the ASK side. You can try your luck and place a Buy Order - the current max bid is 5.088 (numbers are rounded up). Looking at the Trade history I can see there hasn't been any trades on this date but there was a slew of trades on 2026-06-25. It's nice to see there is still a viable market for these. I think they hold tons of future potential. I always thought it a good idea to allow players to swap past card packs for new at a ratio that made sense. If we did this with CHAOS more of them would be off the market thus dwindling the CHAOS supply. Such a feature might also bring the CHAOS pack holders back into the mix with newer editions. Just a random thought I had sometime back that drifted back into my mind as I created this post. What say you? Do you have some ideas to infuse extra excitement into the secondary pack market? If so head to the comment section and share your thoughts. We here at the blog love to read what you think. That's it for now, its busy here in the RentMoney household and I got some brick and mortar things to get to. Thanks for visiting us - You are appreciated. See you at our next post :)
