Exciting Future for Electric Car Technology
With the resent patent from Fisker Inc. for a solid state battery I am excited about the future of electric cars. Currently pure electric cars have around a 100 mile range and can take up to 20 hours to charge from a standard outlet in the United States. If the Fisker Inc. claims come true electric cars running off of solid state batteries will have a range of up to 500 mile and charge in as little as one minute. If solid state batteries can live up to even half of what they are claiming there is a bright future in electric cars.
