Betelgeuse
Betelgeuse Gemini Alpha Orion has been observed to have more favourable properties than Bellatrix, especially when conjunct Jupiter. Being in the angular houses of the horoscope, it promises advancement, good fortune, success and sometimes even eternal glory. On the Ascendant and in conjunction with Mars it gives the threat of death by lightning, fire, explosion, firearms and the like. Elsbeth Ebertin has documented that when the waxing Moon was in conjunction with this star in June and July 1927, a number of people died either from lightning or from bombings or terrorist attacks. When comparing the positions of Betelgeuse and Polaris, we see that they are virtually identical, with a difference of 10. However their latitudes are very different. Betelgeuse lies at around 16º N, and Polaris at 66º N.
