(ENG/ESP) Fanart “Camus from Aquarius” – Saint Seiya /Fanart “Camus de Acuario” – Los Caballeros del Zodíaco.

De los bocetos del Inktober, quise hacer para hoy la versión a color de uno de ellos que tuviera una paleta de tonos alegres y vistosa.

Me llamó la atención Camus de Acuario del anime Saint Seiya y fue el que trabajé. Además, es uno de mis personajes preferidos. La personalidad fría y estricta que mostraba externamente contrastaba mucho con quien era internamente, sobre todo cuando tuvo que enfrentarse a su alumno Hyoga y eso lo hace un personaje complejo e interesante.

No sé por qué, pero los personajes que muestran esa dualidad en la personalidad me fascinan como es el caso de Levi Ackerman o Pete Richardson. Tal vez sea porque me identifico un poco con ellos porque soy así.

En algunos capítulos, el cabello de Camus se ve como de un tono verdoso y en otros de un tono azul. No sé si eso haya sido a causa de los cambios que a veces sufrían los colores cuando eran sometidos al calor en el proceso de fotografiarlos para armar las secuencias o tal vez haya sido un error en los códigos de colores a usar.

Yo preferí trabajar con los colores azules ya que me parecen más ajustados al signo de Acuario.

Haberle dejado parte de la armadura ayudó a dar un tono contrastante y a resaltar la personalidad fría y segura de Camus. Cuando hice la versión en blanco y negro no pensé en eso, pero me gustó mucho cómo se ve en la versión a color.

Quise ambientarlo en Siberia, en medio de grandes montañas de hielo sin que esto lo afecte ya que él es el amo del hielo, así que no teme al frío, ¡más bien el frío le teme a él!

Para la siguiente ilustración quiero seleccionar a un piloto. ¿Quién podrá ser? ¿Koji Kabuto, Pete Richardson, Misumi Kyou o tal vez el Capitán Harlock? ¡Aún lo estoy decidiendo!

From the sketches of Inktober, I wanted to create a colored version of one of them for today that had a palette of cheerful and vibrant tones.

I was drawn to Camus of Aquarius from the anime Saint Seiya, and that’s what I worked on. Additionally, he is one of my favorite characters. The cold and strict personality he displayed externally contrasted greatly with who he was internally, especially when he had to face his student Hyoga, which makes him a complex and interesting character.

I don’t know why, but characters that show this duality in personality fascinate me, like Levi Ackerman or Pete Richardson. Maybe it’s because I identify a bit with them since I am like that.

In some episodes, Camus's hair appears to be a greenish tone, while in others it looks blue. I’m not sure if that was due to the changes that sometimes occurred with colors when they were subjected to heat during the photographing process to create the sequences, or if it was perhaps an error in the color codes to be used.

I preferred to work with blue colors, as they seem more fitting for the sign of Aquarius.

Leaving part of the armor helped to provide a contrasting tone and to highlight Camus's cold and confident personality. When I made the black and white version, I didn’t think about that, but I really liked how it looks in the color version.

I wanted to set the scene in Siberia, amidst large ice mountains, without it affecting him since he is the master of ice, so he doesn’t fear the cold—rather, the cold fears him!

For the next illustration, I want to select a pilot. Who could it be? Koji Kabuto, Pete Richardson, Misumi Kyou, or maybe Captain Harlock? I’m still deciding!
