(ENG/ESP) Commission – Vermillion Reference Sheet / Comissión – Vermilion Hoja de referencia

La segunda comisión que recibí para trabajar con Vermillion: hacer su hoja de referencia.

Esta hoja se utiliza para mantener la consistencia con el personaje por lo que se hace el estudio del personaje en pose de frente, perfil, espalda y ¾. Yo adiciono siempre algunos estudios de expresiones en algunos de esos ángulos como referencia de cómo podría variar o exagerar algunas de ellas.

También me gusta dejar al cliente dentro de la misma ilustración, cómo se vería el personaje sin algunas capas de vestuario. En este caso, cómo se vería la ropa en la espalda de Vermillion sin la capa. Para ello, hago el trazo con líneas lo más delgadas posibles para que no interfieran con la vista inicial del personaje.

The second commission I received for working with Vermillion: making his reference sheet.

This sheet is used to maintain consistency with the character, so the study of the character is done in frontal, side, back and ¾ poses. I always add some studies of expressions in some of those angles as a reference of how I could vary or exaggerate some of them.

I also like to leave the client within the same illustration, how the character would look without a few layers of costume. In this case, what would the clothes on Vermillion's back look like without the cape. To do this, I make the stroke with the thinnest lines possible so that they do not interfere with the initial view of the character.
