The last of the bush cherries being harvested today. These are the Nanking variety. ...

... Tastey little buggers...when harvested at peak ripeness! We have these perennial fruiting cherry bushes throughout the food forest. Much smaller than the larger “cherries” on neighboring fruit trees, they are a favorite of birds and a great decoy target for them to eat vs. our tree cherries. ;) The leaves are beautiful and we can shape the bush into any form we want.
