Dark Night

That sudden moment when you open your eyes to see darkness everywhere. That sudden moment which gives you a minor heart attack, when you can't sense anything, and are too afraid to move an inch as if there is somebody standing beside you to stab you if you move. Or as if someone will hear your moving and will torture you to death. And then you take some courage to lift your finger to feel it, to assure yourself that its your body and you are alive. And you keep praying deep down in your heart for the light, for this awkwardly horrible feeling to end soon. But what can you do except to wait for the dawn or to die in a dreadful night.
I experienced these feelings when I was too young, probably a child, and I waited for the light and told nobody for it was hard to express then. Has anyone of you faced the same situation ever?
