SOCKS
hers:
intriguing.
radiant red streaks,
against a deep sky -
raging;
ready to explode
and light up a storm
and then some!
his:
dull,
black, white, striped;
prison socks.
only ankle-length,
yet caging all of him.
never anything more than
a moment of stillness in them;
Sometimes less.
