Gender equality

Greetings my hive friends how are you all doing and welcome to my blog which today I will be sharing with you all about gender equality

Gender equality simply entails that both genders in the society either male or female should be seen as equal citizen with equal benefits before the law.

And some of the advantages of this civil philosophy in the society are;

• Both genders are treated with equal respect
• It demolished discrimination
• It gives room for equal benefits
• It encourages unity

The equality of all people is very crucial and necessary not just in the aspect of women rather it should encompass all the people living in the society even aliens who aren't citizens should be treated equally and with the equal benefits of the law.

In most societies they tend to favor their citizens more than how they favor aliens or foreigners that came to their land, for example a Nigerian man may treat a fellow Nigerian man with respect but in the other way round might not treat an alien like that saying that "after all you are not a Nigerian/brother"

One thing I like about my country mostly the southern, eastern and the western part of the country the process of equality is being held and recognised and I really like that about it.

But mean while in the northern part of the country a man still marries more than one wife and their tradition kick against the wife complaining about it, also they see their wives as house wife whose role is to be in the kitchen.

Which is very bad and in this case my thoughts on this is that we try and give them a chance just like they other part of Nigeria has given them instead of seeing them as inferior citizens while the men becomes superior.

To me the most simple way to educate our children to understand this issues in the society is to make the education of both genders to be compulsory and mandatory.

And you will see that it will enlighten the female children to know and understand their rights and also would urge them to take part in matters affecting the smooth running of the society.
