Greetings, Hiveans. 🤠 I paused the Depeche Mode remixes nostalgia marathon I planned - all of a sudden, my #ttt blog today is devoted to one of the best Russian bands of 2000-es: the SPLEAN!
СПЛИН — Булгаковский марш
How many great songs that are 30 seconds long do you know of? I guess this track may be the absolute champion in this category. This tune is just one (!) little phrase, single phrase from "The Master and Margarita", famous novel by Mikhail Bulgakov. (I highly recommend you to read it if you haven't done yet).
Скажите, а много вы знаете прекрасных песен длительностью в 30 секунд? Думаю что это этот трек будет абсолютным чемпионом в данной категории! На музыку здесь положена всего-навсего одна (!) фраза, из знаменитого романа Михаила Булгакова "мастер и Маргарита". (Советую почитать, если вы еще не).
Сплин - Она была так прекрасна
This song about death struck me in the heart, immediately and irrevocably; however, after apparently one hundred playbacks ... I am still alive?! The song is assembled in a simple way musically, from a sweet lining with a baroque flavor, placed under a poetic opus that paradoxically easily slips into your mind. A clever trick! Bravo, maestro. (The videoclip is rather primitive, but it is low budget and DIY principle to blame I guess. I'd rather prefer something different...)
Эта песня о смерти поразила меня в самое сердце, сразу и бесповоротно; однако после примерно ста прослушиваний... я всё еще жив?! Песня довольно просто устроена в музыкальном плане, сладкозвучная незатейливая подкладка с барочным привкусом, подложенная под поэтический опус который - с таким-то сопровождением - парадоксально легко проскальзывает внутрь вашего просвещенного сознания. Хитрый трюк. Браво, маэстро!
Сплин - Мороз по коже
A very powerful song, carrying a charge of poetry and love for St. Petersburg. When I first heard it, I was slightly put off by the large number of annoying repetitions... but this song just needs time to open up, to soak into your blood. An ideal soundtrack for lonely walks around this city (like most of SPLIN's songs). In this video you also can see this band playing music live.
Очень мощная песня, несущая заряд поэзии и любви к Санкт-Петербургу. В момент первого знакомства с ней меня слегка оттолкнуло от песни большое количество назойливых повторов... но этой песне просто надо дать время раскрыться, впитаться в твою кровь. Идеальный саундтрек для одиноких прогулок по этому городу (как и большинство песен СПЛИН).
