Noble Words : Solomon's Paradox.
There are so many people, who are always ready to advice others. If we take an example of social media account, everyday on what's app we get so many thoughtful messages. There are some nice motivational lines. And people pretend theat they are good at giving advice for the welfare of other and to the society. I always wonder how many of those messages or thought that people implement in life. Giving advices are easy in real life but following them on themselves is important too. Todays, I came across some lines in Sanskrit, which teaches the same logic of human mentality.
परोपदेशे पाण्डित्यं सर्वेषां सुकरं नृणाम्|
धर्मे स्वीयमनुष्ठानं कस्य चित्सुमहात्मनः||
Paropadeshe paandityam sarveshaam sukaram nrunaam
Dharme sweeyamanushthhanam kasya chitsumahaatmanah.
Paropadeshe = giving advice to others. Paandityam = learning, scholarship.
Sarveshaam = every one.
Sukaram = easy
Nrunaam = people
Dharme = religiously, duty fully Sweeya manushthhanam = carrying out himself.
Kasya = whose.
chid = indeed.
Sumahaatmanah = very magnanimous person.
Showing scholarship while giving advice to others is very easy for every body, but following such advice dutifully themselves is done only by very magnanimous persons.
People often like to give advice to others but don't follow it themselves because it's easier to analyze a situation from a detached perspective when considering someone else's problem. Some people might believe they are better equipped to handle others' problems than their own, leading to a disconnect between advice given and personal practice.
Learning is Passion!!
