The defination of happy family has changed over the years. What used to be a simple lifestyle that brings immense happiness to the family members, the time has now changed towards possessing material things that makes the family happy. But if we take a deep dive into their lifestyle, the true happiness is missing from their life. Taking a indirect dig at the modern family who favor money and material things life, The ancient Sanskrit explain the true concept of a 'happy family' in simple words. It says ;

सुभिक्षं कृषके नित्यं नित्यं सुखमरोगिणी |

भार्या भर्तुः प्रिया यस्य तस्य नित्योत्सवं गृहम् ||

Subhiksham krusheke nityaa nityam sukhamaroginee.
Bhaaryaa bhartuh priya yasya tasya nittyotsava

Subhiksham = abundance of foodgrains etc.
Krushake = a farmer.
Nityam = daily, always.
Sukhamaroginee = sukham + arogniee.
Sukham = happiness, prosperity.
Aroginee = without any diseases, healthy.
Bhaarya = wife.
Bhartuh = husband.
Priyaa = darling.
Yasya = whose.
Tasya = his.
Nityotsavam = nitya + utsavam.
Utsavam = festival.
Gruham = home.

i.e. If a farmer's always produces food grains in abundance, and lives happily and his wife is free from diseases (healthy) and loved by him, then there is always a festive atmosphere in their house.

The above lines focuses on the joy of a simple lifestyle. Citing the true example of a farmer, who remain content with their farming and loved by his wife (family members), and having a good health is kind of a enjoying a festive atmosphere every day.

A simple lifestyle, often associated with minimalism, emphasizes living with less, focusing on what is truly important, and reducing unnecessary complexity and consumption. Following a simple lifestyle is all about creating a supportive and loving environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and safe. A simple family leads to joy for family members.
