Noble Words : Do it today itself !

I have seen people are in habit if delaying things. Rather than doing it, they opt to do them later. The best example that comes in my mind is the retirement process in India. The standard age of retirement is 60 years. Many people work hard day and night so that they enjoy their retirement time. In process they forget to enjoy life. There are people I know who never undertook travelling in the young age neither did any adventure they postpone everything for later stage of life. Our Sanskrit has highlighted the consequences of this praxlctices in following lines :

अद्येव कुरु यच्छ्रेयो वृद्धः सन्किं करिष्यसि |

स्वगात्राण्यपि भाराय भवन्ति हि विपर्यये||

Adyeva kuru yacchreyo vruddhah sankim karishishyasi.
Svagaatraanyapi bhaaraaya bhavanti hi viparyaye.

Adyeva = this very day.
Kuru = do.
Yacchreyo = yat + shreyo.
Yat = that.
Shreyo = creditable, benevolent deed.
vruddhah = an aged person.
sankim = san + kim.
San = becoming.
Kim = what.
Karishyasi = will do.
Svagaatranyapi = Sva + gaatraani + api.
Sva = one's own.
Gaatraani = limbs of the body.
Api = even.
Bhaaraya = like a load.
Bhavanti = become.
Hi = certainly.
Viparyayah = topsyturvy, turned upside down.

i.e. Whatever benevolent and creditable deeds you have to perform do them today itself. How will you be able to do them when you will become aged, when even your own limbs will become a burden to you and every thing will be topsyturvy ?

Our body will not support us forever. As we age, we face a number of health issue. This is what the author wanted to highlight in the aboves lines. It is generally better to act on important things today rather than postponing them, as delaying can lead to increased stress, missed opportunities, and a sense of regret.

Many people regret not having acted on their dreams or taking care of important tasks sooner. Life is not a guarantee, and waiting for the "perfect" time can mean waiting forever. So rather delaying or postponing, just plan and execute it today to avoid any unwanted circumstances.
