Noble Words : Administration secrecy !

The recently concluded operation Sindoor was questioned by the opposition parties. They have certain objection regarding the proof of the operation. But the military operation was conducted in a secret way by our government. It resulted in aome heavy losses to the militants. It is not about our government. Many government around the world acts in a secretive way. Disclosing any action before if happens may draw lot of flaks. Our ancient Sanskrit too said this through these lines :

अपि स्वल्पतरं कार्यं यद्भवेत्पृथिवीपतेः |

तन्न वाच्यं सभामध्य प्रोवाचेदं वृहस्पतिः ||

Api svalpataram kaaryam yadbhavetpruthiveepateh.
Tanna vaachya sabhaamadhye provaachedeva vruhaspatih.

Api = even.
Svalpataram = very insignificant or unimportant.
Kaaryam = work, business.
Yadbhavetpruthveepateh = yat + bhavet + pruthveepateh.
Yat = that.
Bhavet = will happen
Pruthveepateh = Kings or a Rulers.
Tanna = tam + na
Tam = him.
Na = not.
Vaachya = to be spoken or announced.
Sabhaamadhye = in an assembly of persons, in society.
Provaachedam = provaach + idam.
Provaach = announced.
Idam = this.
Vruhaspatih = the high priest of Gods.

i.e. If one is entrusted even an insignificant or unimportant task of the King (or a Ruler) he should never disclose it in society or an assembly of persons. This has been ordained by not an ordinary person but by Vruhaspati , the high priest of the Gods.

Maintenance of proper secrecy is one of the most important pre-requisites of administration, this is what highlighted in the above Sanskrit verses. Secrecy is crucial for protecting classified information related to national defense, intelligence operations, and foreign relations. Beyond national security, secrecy is maintained to protect other sensitive information, such as trade secrets, financial data, and personal information of individuals.

Decrecy is a tool that can be used for both good and bad purposes. When used responsibly and ethically, it can protect national security, sensitive information, and individual privacy. However, when used for nefarious purposes, it can lead to corruption, abuse of power, and the erosion of democratic values.
