Also, I strongly urge readers not to try to imitate the actions of the protagonist depicted or described here at home. Because just taking it out a moment and dipping it in once might have serious consequences.

Ich bitte auch ausdrücklich darum, die abgebildeten oder beschriebenen Handlungen des Protagonisten, nicht zu Hause nachzuahmen. Denn, nur ein einziges Mal herausnehmen und eintunken, hat finale Konsequenzen.
About my collage
My picture is just another bitter metaphor for alcoholism as a mental escape:
Instead of dealing with problems, those affected consciously drown their thoughts, their clarity, and ultimately themselves in alcohol. The brain - the seat of reason, memory, and identity - is literally sacrificed to achieve short-term sedation.
What begins as a temporary escape from pain, stress, or emptiness ends in the complete abandonment of one's own self.
A silent, terrifying moment of self-destruction - captured in a single picture, not long before the protagonist's eventual death.
My inspiration for this was the recent death of a friend who suffered from severe alcoholism.
However, the little man in this picture bears no resemblance to him. Because, of course, I didn't do it to make fun of him.
Über mein Bild
Mein Bild ist nur eine weitere, bittere Metapher für den Alkoholismus als mentale Flucht:
Statt Probleme zu bewältigen, versenken Betroffene bewusst ihr Denken, ihre Klarheit und letztlich sich selbst im Alkohol. Das Gehirn – Sitz von Vernunft, Erinnerung und Identität – wird buchstäblich geopfert, um kurzfristige Betäubung zu erreichen.
Was einmal als vorübergehende Flucht vor Schmerz, Stress oder Leere beginnt, endet in der völligen Aufgabe des eigenen Ichs.
Ein stiller, erschreckender Moment der Selbstzerstörung – eingefangen in einem einzigen Bild, nicht weit vor dem Ableben des Protagonisten.
Meine Inspiration hierfür war, der kürzliche Tod eines Freundes, der an schwerem Alkoholismus litt.
Der kleine Mann in diesem Bild, hat allerdings keinerlei Ähnlichkeit mit ihm. Denn, selbstverständlich, hatte ich es nicht gemacht, um ihn lächerlich zu machen.
Materials and creation
When I started practicing 3D modeling in Blender 3D many years ago, I couldn't imagine that I would one day use it as my main tool for creating my artistic outpourings.
For this picture, too, I first created the entire scene in Blender.
However, if I've learned one thing in the process, it's that it doesn't work without classic image editing.
For the final touches, as an open source advocate, I used the image editing software GIMP.
With this tool, I improved the lighting, colors, shadows, and added details (such as blood and lighting effects). Last but not least, I applied a suitable cinematographic LUT to the picture.
I borrowed the beer glass and the brain from Blenderkit (legally). I found the background image on Pixabay.
The other things were modeled by myself. My renderings of the cigarette pack, the lighter, and the beer bottle can even be found in the LMAC Image Library.
I made the little man, the fishing rod, the table, and the beer mats just for this picture.
Materialien und Erstellung
Als ich vor vielen Jahren, damit begann, mich in der 3D Modellierung in Blender 3D zu üben, konnte ich mir noch nicht vorstellen, dass ich es mal als Hauptwerkzeug, zur Erstellung meiner künstlerischen Ergüsse verwenden würde.
Auch für dieses Bild, habe ich zunächst die Szene in Blender komplett in Blender gemacht.
Wenn ich dabei jedoch eines gelernt habe, dann dass es ohne die klassische Bildbearbeitung, wiederum nicht funktioniert.
Als Opensource-Verfechter, nutzte ich für die letzten Handgriffe, die Bildbearbeitungs-Software GIMP.
Mithilfe dieses Werkzeugs verbesserte ich die Ausleuchtung, die Farben, Schatten und fügte Details (wie das Blut, Lichteffekte) hinzu. Zu guter Letzt, wand ich auf das Bild noch ein passendes, kinematografisches LUT an.
Das Bierglas und das Hirn habe ich mir von Blenderkit geborgt (legal). Das Hintergrundbild, fand ich auf Pixabay.
Der Rest ist von mir selbst modelliert. Meine Renderings der Zigarettenschachtel, des Feuerzeuges und der Bierflasche, finden sich sogar in der LMAC Image Library.
Den kleinen Mann, die Angelrute, den Tisch und die Bieruntersetzer, habe ich speziell für dieses Bild gemacht.
